The Greenport Express Halloween Spooktacular is a time-honored Halloween tradition that takes place over three days in October when the station transforms into a Halloween village, where costumes mingle with spooky lights and larger-than-life animated characters.

The Halloween Spooktacular is a very popular event held over three days in October. While you can purchase tickets at the door, we strongly recommend buying tickets ahead of time to avoid long lines. Tickets are sold in 1/2 hour increments. We'll email your tickets. You can print them out or we can scan them from your device.

Long before the Greenport Express rolled through Moore’s Woods, it was the dream of retired LIRR engineer Frank Field, who built a 16-gauge locomotive in his Greenport backyard and delighted local kids (and adults) for decades. See a timeline of milestones and a detailed history including where it was made and how it was recently brought back thanks to the heroic efforts of the Rotary Club of Greenport, generous donors, and tireless volunteers.
